T.Y.R.I.O.N.
T.Y.R.I.O.N was my final project for ME 210 the intro to mechatronics course. The project challenged us to build a fully autonomous robot for a class-wide competition in just two weeks and within a $200 budget. The objective of the robot was to launch foam balls at an opponents tower, placed at different locations on the board. The robot was only allowed to reload balls once it entered a particular space on the board.
Our teensy-driven robot used limit switches to orient itself according to the walls on the board and used VEX motors and Omni wheels to navigate around the board. Once in the correct position a DC motor drove the flywheel to launch balls and bring down our opponent's towers.
